I was the lead designer on over 50 website projects for this advertising and marketing agency. Projects ranged from maintaining existing clients' websites to complete rebuilds.
Working on a small team I've had to wear many hats, but it's also been extremely important to be able to rely on my other team members when I need help, and to be available to them when they do. I've learned that success doesn't come through just relying on your own abilities, but being able to utilize feedback (positive or negative) in a constructive way.
I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in different sectors around the world and have been involved in branding, print media, web design, usability and copywriting.
Proper time management is key! While working in an agency full-time and doing freelance work on the side, I've found that my ability to manage my time effectively has vastly improved. Juggling client work and meeting deadlines while still maintaining a healthy personal life has been a really positive learning experience for me.
